    Very impressive Adirondack style chair!

Very nice blend of classic and contemporary design elements. Great to look at and comfortable to sit in. Easy to set up, especially with the instructions in the box and videos on the web. I like it a lot

  • FAQs

What is Livewood furniture made of?

Livewood furniture is crafted from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), both of which are durable, eco-friendly plastics. We use recycled materials (like milk jugs and detergent bottles) to create "poly lumber" that looks and feels like real wood but without the maintenance.

What is the difference between HDPE and HIPS? Which one should I choose?

Both are excellent choices for outdoor furniture, but they have distinct characteristics:

    • HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene): It has a slightly softer, waxy feel and is somewhat flexible. It is incredibly impact-resistant and ideal for harsh weather conditions. It typically has a textured, wood-grain finish.
    • HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene): It is stiffer and feels harder, more like painted wood. It usually has a smoother, matte finish. HIPS allows for more precise details in design but is slightly more rigid than HDPE.

Can I leave my furniture outside all year round?

Absolutely. Livewood furniture is built to withstand all four seasons. Whether it’s scorching sun, heavy rain, freezing snow, or salt spray, our furniture is engineered to endure the elements without degrading.

Will the color fade in the sun?

We use UV inhibitors and continuous pigments that run throughout the entire material, not just on the surface. While distinct colors may mellow slightly over many years of intense sun exposure, you won't experience the noticeable fading or peeling seen with painted wood.

Do I need to paint or seal it?

Never! Livewood furniture requires zero waterproofing, staining, or painting. Spend your time relaxing in your chair, not working on it.
